Appointments will start to be taken in mid January 2022.

Denville is using the Two Visit Scan business model.

As all tax returns are being prepared remotely, two appointments will be needed, one to sit with a Tax-Aide counselor for an intake interview and have tax documents scanned and another one a week later to review and print the return.

During their first site visit, the taxpayer will meet with a Tax-Aide Counselor to review the completeness of their tax documentation. The pertinent documents will be scanned to convert to electronic form. Tax-Aide Counselors working from home will complete the tax return and the results will be communicated to the taxpayer by phone.

During their second visit, typically the following week, the return will be printed and the taxpayer will sign the release to electronically transmit the return. The return will be transmitted to the IRS, Federal and State later that same day.

COVID precautions require all Tax-Aide volunteers on site to be fully vaccinated and masked at all times. Taxpayers must also wear masks during the entire process. Distancing and plexiglass dividers will also be used.
