Parsippany Community Center is using the Same Day Drop Off business model.
The taxpayer makes an appointment for tax preparation and then picks up a pre-appointment package of documents at the Parsippany Community Center which they complete prior to coming in for their appointment. The taxpayer comes to the site at their appointment date and time with their tax documents and meets with a Tax-Aide counselor for the intake interview.
After the intake interview the taxpayer can leave the building or stay at an assigned waiting area however they must be available by phone or in person to discuss any questions by the Tax-Aide counselor preparing the return.
The tax return will be prepared and quality reviewed on site. If the taxpayer has left the site they should return within an hour to review their return, sign the e-file authorization, and receive a paper copy of the return and all of their original tax documents.
